A Sign in Space by Gunilla Klingberg
I often view a lot of my own work like this, I see it as an achievement for myself but once I’ve done it, then it’s gone. If it’s important or memorably then others will speak of it, but in my mind I’m already thinking of the next thing. That might be why I like this idea so much. To work on something for hours and hours, but to have the tide slowly wash it away, and people walk all over it, then the next day it’s a blank canvas. Much like my mind, it’s a clean slate, but those who witnessed it, and remember it, might talk about it one day.
“Maybe one might reflect on the impermanence of all things”
